Funded Early Education Entitlement is available for all children following the term after their third birthday, This funding provides 15 hours of childcare a week over a minimum of 38 weeks of the year.

 

Funded Early Education for two year olds is available for parents/carers receiving certain benefits. If eligible your child will be able to receive funded childcare for 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the academic year.

Blue Bubbles Pre-School enables families to use their funding flexibility throughout all of our opening hours.

Funded childcare placements are offered where no additional fees are required to access the placement, the hours are fully funded. Blue Bubbles Pre-School accepts all government funded schemes - see below for further information.

What is available through the childcare choices?

Tax-Free Childcare

  • For working families, including the self-employed, in the UK

  • Earning under £100k and at least £131 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage) each

  • Who aren't receiving Tax Credits, Universal Credit or childcare vouchers

  • With children aged 0-11 (or 0-16 if disabled)

  • For every £8 you pay into an online account, the government will add an extra £2, up to £2,000 per child per year

15 Hours Free Childcare - Age 2

  • For families in England, receiving some forms of support

  • With 2-year-old children

  • 15 hours of free childcare or early education for 38 weeks

  • To be able to take up 15 hours of free childcare for your two-year-old you or your child must meet the eligibility criteria. Please visit GOV.UK- external link for further information.

  • A total of 570 hours per year, that you can use flexibly with one or more childcare provider

  • Some providers will allow you  to ‘stretch’ the hours over 52 weeks, using fewer hours per week

 

15 Hours Free Childcare - Age 3 & 4

  • For all families in England

  • With 3 and 4-year-old children

  • 15 hours of free childcare or early education for 38 weeks

  • A total of 570 hours per year, that you can use flexibly with one or more childcare provider

  • Some providers will allow you  to ‘stretch’ the hours over 52 weeks, using fewer hours per week

30 Hours Free Childcare

  • For working families in England

  • With 3 and 4-year-old children

  • 30 hours of free childcare or early education for 38 weeks

  • A total of 1,140 hours per year, that you can use flexibly with one or more
    childcare provider

  • Some providers will allow you  to ‘stretch’ the hours over 52 weeks, using fewer hours per week

Parents are able to check their eligibility now using the online childcare calculator www.gov.uk/childcare-calculator. Once signed up, parents will receive an eligibility code to take to their childcare provider. Childcare providers will then check the code with their local authority. If eligible, parents can book their 30 hours place.

We accept a vast majority of childcare vouchers towards the cost of your childcare. This can mean reduced tax and national insurance contributions.
